My jeeps left side brake light has recently started acting up. The brake light works when the headlights are off, but when the headlights are on the left brake light will not light up. Tried changing the bulb but didn't help.How to fix brake light on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Sounds like you have a bad ground at the rear lamp cluster. I'm not sure how your lamp unit will ground. In my TJ Wrangler it is grounded by the mounting bolts. Your's could be with a ground wire though. Make sure the is no corrosion in the actual bulb socket too.
