THESE GUYS ARE RIGHT. BUT IT IS ACCORDING TO WHERE THE LIGHT IS. SOME HAVE AN ACTUALL LIGHT THAT LOOKS LIKE AN OIL LAMP. OTHERS HAVE A DIGITAL READING ACROSS WHERE THE MILEAGE IS SHOWN. OTHERS SHOW AND ENGINE BLOCK. EITHER WAY CUT THE KEY ON BUT DO NOT START. PUMP THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR 3 TIMES WITHIN 5 SECONDS. WAIT!!! IF YOU HAVE THE ENGINE BLOCK OR THE OIL LAMP SYMBOL IT WILL START BLINKING WHEN IT IS RESET AND YOU CAN CUT THE KEY OFF AND START THE VEHICLE AND THE LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF. IF YOU HAVE THE DIGITAL ONE IT WILL READ OIL LIFE RESET. THEN YOU CAN CUT THE KEY OFF AND START THE ENGINE. EITHER WAY IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE A FEW SECONDS TO DETERMINE WHETHER IT IS RESET. I have an 03 GMC and had the same problem. I turned the key to accessory, pumped the Gas pedal 3 times and it cleared the message. This is so weird to have to do this with all the technology in the world.

i own a repair shop,and id look in the manual on it all the procedures are pretty much the same with the key in the accessory position,pump the gas pedal 3 times then cut the truck on,and it should clear it,i have had to do it more than once,before but it always works,good luck with it i hope this help,s.2003 Chevy Silverado Oil Change Light?
