i always change the oil every 3k miles. but i know its something to do with pressing the brakes or accelerator while the truck is off that resets the light... please help!How do i reset the blinking change oil light on my 2005 gmc envoy?
one of two ways.
1. Turn the car to the on position without starting it. Wait a few seconds. press the gas pedal completely to the floor and let off it it 3 times in about 2 or 3 seconds... that should reset it. try this a few times. it should make the little oil can light blink. or it will say oil life reset if it's a word display wichever model you have
if way 1 doesn't work then procede further
2. if it has a menu to scroll to your oil life you may need to hold reset for like 10 seconds to have it go back to 100. but i think it's the first one.How do i reset the blinking change oil light on my 2005 gmc envoy?
