How do you change the brake light bulb of a Toyota Corolla?

I am trying to change the brake light bulb of a 1997 Toyota Corolla.I found a nut inside the trunk and two screws on the outside and removed them but the light fixture will not come off. It will only be partially free. How do you change the brake light bulb of a Toyota Corolla?
You DO have to remove the entire fixture on this car.

On my 94 there are two black pegs that stick out from the side area of the car into the trunk. They have another peg that goes into them that causes them to expand outward, holding the fixture in place. If you use a pair of pliers you can usually pull the center peg out which will free the outer peg to slide out of the metal. Do it for both. It DOES take some effort. How do you change the brake light bulb of a Toyota Corolla?
you dont need to remove the taillight itself, there should be a plastic cover inside the trunk that hides the wiring to the bulbs, the socket twists off and then you can pull the bulb out.
